Edward L. Gately Jr. of South Boston passed away on Feb. 13, 2025. Beloved father of Edward L. Gately III of Braintree (Boston Police Department) and loving Grandfather of Ryan Moran of Braintree. Loving brother of Mary Woletskas of Braintree, and Helen Mackie of South Boston. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, cousins and good friends. United States Marine Corps Veteran, Vietnam. Visitation in the O'Brien Funeral Home 146 Dorchester St. South Boston on Tuesday Feb 18, from 4-7pm. Prayer service on Wednesday Feb. 19th at 11am in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
